Broad and all round role for a recently qualified accountant to join this leading mid-market private equity firm in an autonomous and highly visible role as a management accountant.
The key aim of a management accountant is to support and work under their COO and cover off a range of financial, management and tax accounting matters. Core responsibilities of a management accountant will cover all management and financial accounting for various entities within the company, managing ad hoc tax issues and reporting ranging from tax compliance to assisting with some structuring, accounting for various carry and co-investment options and being able to enhance management information across finance to better support the front office. The management accountant job is a new role down to growth offering an incredible opportunity to be fully absorbed within the business and may lead to managing staff in the future.
To qualify for the said management accountant jobs, your background must include formal accounting qualifications and some experience in either a financial, management or fund accounting role in private equity or asset management. Some exposure to tax is definitely necessary but we aren’t looking for a tax pro more someone who has a general and broad appreciation of tax groups and structures and the ability to look at the bigger picture.
