Sponsored Skilled Workers
People classified in this category need to have a specific work UK offer from a UK based employer who is willing to sponsor them before they can apply for a work UK visa and enter the United Kingdom. This falls under the Tier 2 and there are five categories that falls under this.
1. Work Permits- for Bulgarians and Romanian nationals only
2. Tier 2- General
3. Tier 2- Ministers of Religion
4. Tier 2- Sports Person
5. Tier 2- Intra company transfers
Temporary Workers
This is for people who want to come to the UK to venture on a temporary work UK and they need to have a job offer from a licensed sponsor, a valid certificate of sponsorship, and they must pass the points-based assessment to be eligible to apply for this category and work UK.
Workers from the European Economic Area and Switzerland
This category is for the citizens of countries who are members of the European Economic Area (EEA) and Switzerland. They may enter and work UK as long as they like.
Other Category
This is for domestic workers, representatives of overseas firms, and representatives of overseas newspapers, news agencies and broadcasting organizations.
